Landscapes to abstract expressionism to sometimes an imagined place in between, I enjoy a range of subject matter. I love to experiment with technique, medium and style and allowing myself that freedom helps me to stay inspired. I occasionally use reference photos from the coast or countryside; however, I believe in painting in a way that allows my intuition to create marks naturally and organically.

Growing up in Oregon, I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Portland State University, where I studied studio art practices with a focus in painting and printmaking.

Inspiration for me, comes from the infinite beauty in nature and the pull on my spirit to create in an intuitive way. Just a short drive to the ocean, mountains and forests of the Pacific Northwest, I’m blessed to have access to endless allurement. I paint mostly in acrylic and occasionally use watercolor, oil or other materials such as pastel, graphite or stencils to add interest and variety to my pieces.

I paint out of my home studio in Portland, where I live with my adored husband, our beautiful daughter and our Goldendoodle.
